Just as infected clothing could spread throughout the camp, our associations and influences can either fill us with light or lead us into darkness. We are constantly being shaped by relationships, media consumption, entertainment choices, and daily habits. The good news is that while sin runs deep and spreads wide, Jesus' cleansing power is even deeper and more powerful. At the cross, Christ took our contaminated lives and clothed us in His perfect righteousness. This transformation enables believers to put off the old self with its anger, malice, and destructive patterns, and put on the new self characterized by compassion, kindness, humility, and love. True holiness requires both heart transformation and practical action—honestly evaluating our influences and making necessary changes to align our lives with our identity as God's holy children.
