Meeting Jesus

December 28, 2025 Speaker: Raymond Cushnie Series: Jesus The Only One

Verse: Hebrews 1:1–4

In our chaotic world filled with tragedy, loss, and uncertainty, the fundamental question arises: Where is God? While Scripture teaches that God's presence is clearly visible in creation, with Romans declaring that His invisible attributes have been perceived since the world's beginning, we often struggle to see His active hand due to the brokenness of our fallen world. This tension exists because creation groans under futility, yearning for the restoration God has promised.God operates beyond human logic and expectations.

Rather than working primarily through spectacular interventions, He sustains creation through ongoing preservation - keeping atoms together, maintaining the seasons, and upholding the universe itself. His work often comes through quiet providence, moving hearts and working behind the scenes rather than through dramatic displays of power.Jesus Christ serves as the ultimate answer to questions about God's reality and plan.

As God's final revelation, Jesus is the exact representation of the Father's nature and the radiance of His glory. He sustains the universe by His powerful word, provides purification for sin, and now intercedes for believers from His position of authority. Since Jesus alone holds all things together, complete trust in Him becomes essential for navigating both prosperity and adversity, recognizing that there is no alternative source of true security.
