Be A Doer

Verse: Matthew 7:24–27, Matthew 21:28–31, Luke 6:46–49, James 1:22–25
The distinction between merely hearing God's word and actually doing it marks the difference between superficial and authentic faith. Jesus illustrates this through the analogy of building a house - those who hear and obey build on rock, while those who only listen build on sand. When life's storms come, only those with a foundation of practical obedience will stand firm. The danger of being merely a hearer lies in self-deception.
Many Christians accumulate biblical knowledge but fail to translate it into action, creating a disconnect between their professed beliefs and lived reality. Calling Jesus 'Lord' requires more than verbal acknowledgment - it demands submission to His authority in every aspect of life. True discipleship is demonstrated through consistent obedience, regular engagement with Scripture, and intentional application of biblical principles in daily decisions and actions.
