Home - About Us - What We Believe - Four Pillars
Our foundation is built on the Bible and the Person and work of Jesus Christ. We stand on the truth of what the Word of God says about who He is and what He has done. As the Scriptures teach, anything built on less will ultimately be torn down while building on this foundation results in God being glorified and His people being blessed (1 Corinthians 3:11-15; 10:31).
Harvest Bible Chapel is founded on Jesus Christ and supported by “The Four Pillars.” These pillars are drawn from Biblical truths and explain what we choose to emphasize throughout our church. Wherever you're involved—children's ministries, small groups, or any other ministry—these pillars define Harvest Bible Chapel.
The Four Pillars of Harvest Bible Chapel
I. PROCLAIMING THE AUTHORITY OF GOD'S WORD WITHOUT APOLOGY
"Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke and exhort, with complete patience and teaching." (2 Timothy 4:2)
Each week, we devote time to open the Bible and explain the truth it contains in a practical and engaging way. We believe the Bible and the God it reveals can make the single most important impact in your life.
II. LIFTING HIGH THE NAME OF JESUS IN WORSHIP
"God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth." (John 4:24)
We want to maximize our passion for God’s greatness in our own hearts and in the world in which we live. Our church gathers to worship God on the weekend and goes out the rest of the week to worship Him wherever He has placed us. We want to equip our people to live lives of worship where Jesus Christ is put first in heart, mind, and action.
III. BELIEVING FIRMLY IN THE POWER OF PRAYER
"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving." (Colossians 4:2)
God calls His people to pray. Harvest Bible Chapel was formed out of prayer and will continue to place prayer as a central value of the entire ministry.
IV. SHARING THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS WITH BOLDNESS
"Pray also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak." (Ephesians 6:19-20)
When you've embraced the truth of who Jesus is you develop a desire to share this truth with others. Harvest seeks to be a place where the great news of Christ having conquered sin is proclaimed and our people are burdened and equipped to do the same in their various spheres of influence.
